Fresco Large Market Basket

The Fresco market basket is the large piece in the collection — 11 inches across, low at 2.25 inches deep. Perforations run through the wall in a regular pattern, sized so the basket breathes around stone fruit, citrus, and the heavier root vegetables that come home from a farmers' market in late summer.

The form is shallow on purpose. A deep basket buries the produce it holds; a shallow one displays it. Apples and lemons stay visible at the rim line; the basket reads as both storage and arrangement.

The rustic pink glaze settles into the clay with a slightly uneven hand — sun-faded rather than freshly mixed. Speckled clay reads through where the glaze thins around the rim and the perforations. Dishwasher and oven safe.
