Terra Fruit Basket

The Terra fruit basket is the shallow ochre piece — 7.5 inches across, 2.25 inches deep, with ventilation holes worked through the base and the lower wall. The form is closer to a Tuscan bread basket than to a deep fruit bowl: low enough that what it holds reads as display, not storage.

Lynn pours the ochre yellow glaze across the basket, with the speckled clay showing through at the rim and around each ventilation hole. The piece sits well alongside the Pasta Colander — same color, same shallow profile, same low-key Italian form vocabulary. Where the Drift fruit basket is sculptural and the Verde fruit basket is bright, the Terra fruit basket is warm and quiet.
